“The Fairy Tale Fair is a well-established and well-loved craft fair from Brighton. Launched in 2012 in Patcham, Brighton it has continued to grow and build a loyal following of stall-holders and customers.

“Our social following is now over 15,000 across all social channels. Christmas 2014 saw our expansion into central Brighton, and in 2015 we held more fairs than ever before including the first So This is Christmas fair in Worthing. Since then we have continued to grow year on year.

“Inside the fair you’ll find a world of magical festive finds. With over 70 stalls there will be something for everyone. There will also be face painting, homemade bakes, a visit from Santa, live performers, choir and lots of extras to explore. The fairs are the perfect opportunity to get handmade and one-off items and avoid the stress and queues of the high street. As well as St Barnabas Hospice, which the fair is in aid of, you’ll also be supporting the talented designers and makers. Many of these makers are local and waiting to sell their beautiful creations to you. The fair is open 10.30am to 3.30pm and don’t miss the town crier opening throughout the morning and visits from the mayor. The fair aims to beat last year’s total of just over £3,000 raised for St Barnabas. For further information head over to the fair's website: www.thefairytalefair.co.uk.

“The fair is a real community event, welcoming families and all ages to come along and enjoy the crafty creations and treats! The majority of stall holders are local makers and we hope that you can come along to support and meet them and their wonderful creations. It is also a unique chance to purchase handmade, one off gifts that you certainly won’t find in the shops.”

Claire added: “St Barnabas House was first opened in 1973 by local anaesthetist, Dr Francis Gusterson. It is a hospice which provides specialist palliative care to adults with advanced progressive life-limiting illnesses, both within the hospice and in the comfort of patients’ own homes.

“Services provided by St Barnabas House include a 20-bed in-patient unit, day hospice, community palliative care team, family services team, education department and a hospice at home service. Patients are never charged for the care they receive. Find out more at www.stbh.org.uk.”
