Trevis' two tries give Shoreham victory

SHOREHAM Rugby Club returned to winning ways with a scrappy victory at Holbrook on Saturday.

Heavy rain made passing and kicking difficult and Shoreham were also surprised by the size of the ball, which seemed smaller than the regulation size.

Holbrook attacked Shoreham from the off and spent five minutes camped in Shoreham's half, without being able to force a score.

Shoreham began to take control with second rows Magnus Nelson and Mark Whitcomb putting Holbrook under pressure in set pieces and line-outs.

Gareth Bowen-Perkins, after build-up play in the right-hand corner, touched down to give Shoreham the lead but was replaced shortly afterwards by Dave Falk after pulling a hamstring.
