Steve Mullen was the hero of the day with bowling figures of 7-34 for Arundel to help skittle Southwick out for just 63 - a target Arundel reached in just 12.5 overs.

The game was soured, however, by two players needing hospital treatment for nasty facial injuries. Firstly, Wickers' Steve Martin top-edged a Mullen delivery into his mouth, he chipped a tooth as well as lodging another one into his lip.

Then, With Arundel 26-3, a Paul Grennan delivery somehow went in between Graham Braithwaite's visor on his helmet, hitting the opening batsman right in the eye.
