MULLEN MAGIC DEFEATS SOUTHWICK

SOUTHWICK'S run of poor form continued on Saturday but Arundel gained a hugely important victory in their quest to move away from the bottom of the table.

Steve Mullen was the hero of the day with bowling figures of 7-34 for Arundel to help skittle Southwick out for just 63 - a target Arundel reached in just 12.5 overs.

The game was soured, however, by two players needing hospital treatment for nasty facial injuries. Firstly, Wickers' Steve Martin top-edged a Mullen delivery into his mouth, he chipped a tooth as well as lodging another one into his lip.
