Lutters swaps his No 6 for five

ANDY LUTWYCHE switched from football to cricket for the rest of the summer and celebrated with five wickets for 28 at Stirlands. The Worthing FC defender's all-round cricket skills helped brinfg about a 52-run success after Worthing were aksed to bat and dismissed for 195.

Littlehampton Cricket Club have the best 100 per cent record after the first three Sussex League 1st XI matches. They are setting the pace in Division 2 after putting in Roffey to bat and then getting the 169 runs set for victory with five wickets to spare. Gary Tester scored 68 in the Littlehampton reply.

Stirlands and Worthing head the clubs already with one defeat.

In the Premier Division, Steyning are without a victory. Their suffered their second defeat and it would have been even more humiliating at Brighton & Hove if last man David Mates had not top-scored with an unbeaten 25. They were bowled out for 124 after a last-wicket stand of 42 and lost by 53 runs.
