Lewes head darts league

LEWES took a clear lead at the top of the Sussex County League East Division with a 7-2 win over Hailsham at the Tally Ho in a week eight darts match that featured five 180s and three ton-plus finishes. The man-of-the-match award went to Rod Hawkins for a 26.40 average.

Newhaven won 6-3 against QBall Eastbourne and Pebsham beat Eastbourne DGH 5-4.

Placings: Lewes (played 6, 51 points), Pebsham (6, 46), Eastbourne DGH (7,45), Hastings (7, 45), Newhaven (7, 39), Hailsham (6, 29), Sidley (7, 27), Uckfield (5, 22), Eastbourne QB (7, 15).

Lewes lost 4-3 to Littleton Tower in week seven of the Sussex County Ladies Super League. Debbie Oakman, Elaine Chapman and Brenda Sains were the Lewes winners.

Tally Ho Ladies beat Newhaven 5-2 and Crawley Comets beat Stanmer Royals 6-1.
