LAWLEY HITS WINNER ON DEBUT

AFTER two poor displays which yielded wins in their previous two games, Littlehampton FC produced an excellent performance to beat third-placed Whitehawk on Saturday.

It was debutant Tim Lawley who scored the decider with 14 minutes to go. The Littlehampton youth-team and Worthing FC Reserve player rounded the Whitehawk keeper before firing home from a tight angle.

Golds had taken the lead on 36 minutes. Derek Chester shot home after Ben Torode and Lawley had both had efforts saved.
