IT'S A SECOND FINAL FOR RUSTINGTON

RUSTINGTON Football Club's 12th successive win in all competitions took them into their second final of the season on Saturday.

The scoreline was the same as their Division 3 Cup semi-final three weeks ago, which was also against Newhaven, although the performance was not so comprehensive this time round.

In the final, Rustington will play Peacehaven and in this kind of form, who would bet against them getting a cup double after their treble last season?

Their Sussex Intermediate Cup defeat to Three Bridges Reserves in November is their only cup defeat in 26 games since they joined the County League.

Rustington boss Gareth Davies said: "We battled hard in difficult conditions. Five finals in two seasons is a proud achievement and some teams wait years just to feature in one so obviously I'm delighted."
