Player ratings as Crawley Town left it late to grab a deserved point against Walsall.
Jack Butler rates the Reds’ players on show as Tom Nichols’ late penalty saw Crawley draw 1-1 against Walsall at the People’s Pension Stadium. Do you agree?
Great ball across the box to find Tilley in the second half and worked hard in the middle - especially, in the first half when the Reds were outnumbered. Good again from Powell.
6. Jake Hessenthaler - 7
Given more license to burst forward when Francomb was moved to defensive-midfield and was useful when he did get forward. Overlapping runs and some quality crosses that should have been finished better than they were.
7. Archie Davies - 6
Battled hard, but looked to struggle against Walsall’s physicality. Surprised that he went off at half-time, but the decision was probably as much to give Tony Craig some minutes as it was a criticism of his performance.
8. Jordan Maguire-Drew - 6.5
A quiet night, but worked hard down the right and offers so much when he cuts inside or gets the chance to swing in a cross from a dead-ball. Missed a free header at the back post. Still by his standards, you want more.
