Hide AdJohn Yems was delighted with the result and hopes his side can perform like that tomorrow against Salford: “That’s the best we’ve played for a while, we looked back to our normal selves, and we’re looking forward to Tuesday now."
Salford City are another side looking for promotion to League One this season, and Yems is expecting a stern test from the Ammies. “It’s going to be a hard, hard game, I know it will be tough, it’s the old cliché but there’s no easy games, they’re all tough, whether they’re challenging for promotion or they’re near the bottom, they’re all tough games."
Crawley recently enjoyed wins over Exeter and Tranmere, who are both in the mix for playoff places, and Yems insists his side will play with confidence tomorrow. He said: “We’ve always got confidence. We’re confident against whoever we play, as long as we do what we’ve got to do”.
Following some long travels to the north of the country, Crawley’s next three games are all at home, but Yems doesn’t view this as much of an opportunity for his players to get some rest, as the Reds’ busy schedule continues.

In a couple of weeks’ time we’ve got to travel to Carlisle in the week, we’ve got to go up to Scunthorpe and to Barrow, so it just gives a bit more time for the lads to be at home, but there’s no recovery time because you’re straight on it all the time”.
Kick off against Salford is at 7pm.
