James Edwards is organising the match for Cancer Research UK at the Woodside Road ground on Sunday, January 15, 2023, with kick-off at 6pm, a penalty competition and the chance to win a signed Manchester United football.

James said: "The group of players play locally in Bognor and are playing in honour of those recently lost to this cruel disease. Sadly, my dad passed away in November and a couple of others in our group have had recent family bereavements due to cancer, hence why we are doing a footy game to hopefully get a big crowd to support the chaps.

"We have planned a half-time penalty competition for the fans watching to line up and try to score. A small prize will be on offer. There is also a £10 raffle to win a signed Manchester United football. The bar will be open for drinks and refreshments before and after the game.

"There will be a minute's applause before the game starts from players on the pitch and the crowd, and some balloons will be released for those who sadly have lost their lives."
