Double celebration for Ralph

He took part in the Farriery Apprenticeship Scheme, which takes four years to complete, working closely with Mike Williams, an approved training farrier, who is a partner at Horsham-based The Farriery Practice.

As well as planned periods of work with Mike, Ralph also undertook some college-based study to learn the practical skills and techniques required to become a registered farrier.

He has impressed Mike and the other partners in the firm so much that they offered him the opportunity to join the practice '“ the first time they have expanded the team, based at Bridge House Equestrian Centre, since it was set up more than 20 years ago.
