COX RESCUES RUSTINGTON

SUBSTITUTE Craig Cox spared Rustington's blushes on Saturday with the winner 10 minutes from time. Cox struck from close-range, after he had seen his side throw away a three-goal lead against Upper Beeding, who are bottom of the County League and without a win since September.

Rustington raced 3-0 ahead in 17 minutes with a penalty from Terry Withers, and goals from Dave Oakes and Mike Hatch.

Oakes scored with a speculative effort, and Hatch confidently finished a one-on-one chance.
