Club kept busy as polo interest takes off

Firstly it was recently granted full affiliation to the Hurlingham Polo Association in December '05, and is celebrating the fact that it is the only polo club in Sussex to offer all year round polo.

Secondly, to add to the portfolio of clients of Francis Matthews, Grade two HPA Instructor and proprietor, Hurstpierpoint College is now regularly in training at the club. Other clients include Roedean Girls polo squad.

"I hosted a couple of taster afternoons for the pupils in the summer of' '05, and the take up was tremendous" said Francis who is now preparing the squad of nearly 20 for selection for the National Schools Tournaments later this month and March.

The school had a very good run about ten years ago, and they are keen to repeat their match winning form.
