Blues boss in hot water

RINGMER manager Steve Johnson faces disciplinary action after being sent from the dugout during Tuesday's goalless John O'Hara League Cup third round tie at Whitehawk.

Blues's Aaron MacMillan was sent off in the same incident.

Johnson said: 'I shouldn't have done it and will have to suffer the consequences, but I lost my temper with the referee.

'We though he was awful and so did Whitehawk.

'It was ridiculous. We won a free-kick and wanted to take it quickly and get the game over.

'Aaron took the kick and it just missed the referee. He though the ball had been kicked deliberately at him and sent Aaron off for his two second yellow after he had been booked two minutes earlier.

'I let the referee know my feelings and that's why I was sent away.

'Funnily enough there were two balls on the pitch when the incident happened as I had kicked one on and that also only just missed the ref.

'It's a shame because it was a good game with no bad tackles. We played well and I'm proud of the lads.

'We had Dan McLaughlin sent off against Eastbourne United on Saturday so there's some suspensions coming up.'
