BDO darts aces to step up to oche in Selsey

Top BDO players head to the south coast for the first of two BDO-ranked tournaments to be held at Bunn Leisure in Selsey.

From June 24 to 26, Bunn host the England Open, which players from all over the south will attending, in the hope of getting a chance to play the idols and even world champion Martin Adams.

This year’s England Open will also hold the biggest prize fund ever up for grabs on the BDO circuit, a staggering £27,000.

It is a residential competition only, but anyone wishing to attend for the day and meet their idols and get their autographs can obtain a day pass for access to the darts for the day. For details contact Bunn Leisure reception on 01243 606080.

Littlehampton A 6 Roffey 3

Littlehampton’s third game of the season saw them play host to a strong Roffey side who were sitting in third place behind them.

Chichester player Adi Lindfield put on a brave fight against Roffey’s PDC player Tony Ayres. After levelling the game at 1-1, Ayres tidied the game in impressive 18 and 12-dart legs.

Young Harry Annals was the star of the local team with an impressive nine tons and a 129 shot out.

Worthing 5 Littlehampton A 4

Littlehampton travelled to Worthing for this top-of-the-table clash.

With a game in hand, Littlehampton were hoping to narrow the gap between them and the top team.

Things started badly for Littlehampton when missed doubles saw what should have been a 5-0 lead turn into a 3-2 deficit. The match was level at 4-4 going into the last game, in which Bognor player Graeme Dutton missed doubles to take the match, and Worthing victory.
