Woman taken to hospital after car collision in Arundel

THE A27 had to be closed yesterday morning (December 4) after two cars collided in Arundel.

The incident happened outside the White Swan Hotel in Chichester Road and both cars were severely damaged, leaving debris and oil spilled across the road.

The incident happened after one driver travelling eastbound on the road lost control of their car.

Sussex Police said there were potentially serious injuries but they were not life-threatening.

One woman was taken to hospital by ambulance after the collision. Police attended the scene at 10.05am and closed the A27 until midday.
