Witnesses sought after boy hit by car in Hassocks

Police have launched a fresh appeal for witnesses after an 11-year-boy was seriously hurt in a collision in Hassocks on Friday (March 4).

The child was flown to hospital following the collision involving a black Nissan Micra on Grand Avenue shortly before 4.30pm.

The boy, who is from Hassocks, was flown to St George’s Hospital in London where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The car driver, a 19-year-old man also from the town, was unhurt.

PC Doug Park said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision on Friday afternoon.

“Witnesses can email [email protected] or call 101 quoting Operation Rossini.”
