Wet and wacky bathtub racing

Sixties hippies, French maids and punks were battling it out for first place at the Arundel Bath Tub Race on Saturday.

The race, which has been going for more than 20 years was as wet and wacky as ever and with glorious sunshine organisers could not have hoped for a better day.

"It was a brilliant afternoon," said organiser Martin Harvey, whose own bath Nevermind the Rollocks came second. "We managed to miss the bad weather and everyone had a really great time. The banks were lined with people having picnics and the footbridge was full of crowds watching and it was a really fantastic atmosphere."
