Weather warning issued as remnants of Hurricane Bertha set to hit Horsham district

A yellow weather warning has been issued as the remnants of Hurricane Bertha are set to hit the Horsham district tomorrow morning (Sunday August 10).

Light rain is forecast by the Met Office for around 2am with heavier showers moving in an hour later and lasting right up to around noon, including some lightning.

Strong westerly winds will also make driving conditions difficult.

The storm is due to pass over during the afternoon with sunny weather returning for the rest of the day.

Temperatures are due to hit a maximum of 16degC in the morning, rising to 19degC as the sun reappaears.

The forecase for Monday to Wednesday is for sunny spells in the morning and showers in the afternoon with temperatures in the high teens.
