Very high UV pollen count and high UV levels for Sussex

A very high pollen count and high UV levels dominate the Sussex weather for the next couple of days.

Today (Thursday July 9) and tomorrow the UV level will peak at 8 (the highest is 11) with the Met Office advice “spend time in the shade between 11am and 3pm. Shirt, sunscreen and hat essential”.

Hayfever sufferers face very high levels up to Sunday (July 12) when the level drops to high.

Sunshine is the order of the day through to Sunday with temperatures topping out in the low 20s degC.

There may be light showers overnight on Friday but it looks set for perfect barbecue weather on Saturday (July 11).

The forecast for Sunday, though, is for overcast conditions and light rain.
