Wacky racers will come to Barnham

A wheelbarrow race will get the new year in Barnham off to a wacky start.

The fun event has been organised jointly by BLADE and the Murrell Arms in the village.

It starts in the pub at midday on new year’s day.

There will be a parade to Murrell’s Field where the racing will take place from 1pm.

Racing will depend on the number of teams around the trim trail.

Once the racing is over, it’ll be back to the pub for prize giving for winners and best dressed teams.

Teams will be up to three members who must be aged 16-plus and everyone must take a turn in the barrow.
