VIDEO: Protest for under-18s Worthing club night

A GROUP of teenagers protested in Worthing today (Saturday, November 14) over the the closure of an under-18s club night.

The club nights, held on Fridays at See or Be Seen, formerly Club East, opposite Worthing railway station, were cancelled two weeks ago.

The club-goers and managers arranged the peaceful protest which went from outside the former Club East in Railway Approach, and made its way through the town past the Town Hall in Chapel Road and the Worthing Police Station and into the town centre.

See or Be Seen manageress Danielle Smith said: "We don't feel the children have done anything wrong.

"They enjoyed themselves at the under-18s nights so much, now they just feel cheated."

A Facebook group, called Save under 18s See or Be Seen, has 979 members, who are all fighting to get the club nights reopened.
