The foot-tapping set at the Duke of Wellington pub, in Brighton Road, Shoreham, on Sunday includes stomping English polkas, rattling Irish jigs, driving Cajun tunes, jaunty American songs, jazzy Latin-American numbers and a Swedish polska featuring the nyckelharpa, a traditional keyed fiddle.

Other instruments in action will include banjo, fiddle, concertina, mandolin, saxophone, trombone and flutes.

Rude Mechanicals regulars Barry Ruffell and Ray Chandler are joined by Geoff Peckham on guitar and accordions and ace double-bassist Terry Pack.

The event is part of the pub’s series of Sunday afternoon musical specials, starting at 4pm. Visit www.rudemex.co.uk for more information.
