Trust says it will not abandon Fit for the Future

WEST Sussex Primary Care Trust has refused to abandon the controversial Fit for the Future programme.

Despite local MPs calling for the infamous review to be declared dead and buried, trust chief executive John Wilderspin said the review was 'only on hold and not abandoned'.

He said: " We still have to return to the discussion about how best to develop healthcare services in West Sussex that are designed to give people in the county the very best and that are designed to last. That is why Fit for the Future is only on hold and not abandoned.'
