Signalling problems causes train delays

COMMUTERS are getting to work late this morning (Friday August 19) as a signalling problem is causing disruption to train travel near Wivelsfield.

National Rail said because of this the following alterations will apply until about 9am:

* There is a reduced service between Brighton and Wivelsfield

* Some trains are being diverted between Brighton and Wivelsfield via Lewes.

* Trains may be delayed by up to 60 minutes.

* A signalling problem is causing disruption near Wivelsfield.

* Buses are being arranged to supplement trains between Brighton and Haywards Heath.
