Road closed at East Grinstead following serious accident
A main road around East Grinstead has been closed following a serious accident this morning (Thursday June 12).
At 9.25am this morning a cyclist and a van collided on the A22 Lewes Road between East Grinstead and Ashurst Wood.
Police say the cyclist is reported to have been seriously injured and the A22 is closed in both directions at that location while the casualty is attended to and the scene examined.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area for the time being if at all possible.
