Thanks for support

We would like to take this opportunity, through the Observer, to thank and congratulate all of our volunteers for their commitment, in both time and effort, that has resulted in our being awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

This is the highest award any voluntary group can achieve and it reflects the dedication of our team of some 50 volunteers, without whom there would be no Bus.

The Community Bus has now been running for over 30 years and earlier this year we carried our one and a half millionth passenger. It is very gratifying that the efforts of our volunteeers have been recognised in this way, and we would like to thank those who nominated us, including Greg Barker MP, John Dowling and Mrs Sheila Harper.

Once again our grateful thanks to you all.
