Tesco anniversary party rolls back the years
REMEMBER when four-star petrol cost 36p a litre and bananas sold at 22p a pound?
These prices were among memories recalled when past and present staff of Tesco's West Durrington store held a party at the Bull Inn, Goring, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the store's opening.
The nostalgia event was attended by 170 people, including guests, and they enjoyed a barbecue, buffet, disco and memorabilia, including posters showing some of the original staff members.
