Hide AdShe has launched the venture based around a kiln in her new ceramic studio at her home in Barrack Lane.
The students have the rare chance of using the equipment - which reaches 1,300C - to make their pieces.
Su said: “I’m offering the creative clay workshops on a completely flexible basis. At the moment, the sessions take place from 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30-3.30pm on Wednesdays.
“People can come for two hours or for all four hours. The evening sessions will be from 7pm-9pm.”

Hide AdShe said she hoped the popular BBC2 programme, The Great Pottery Throw Down, would encourage more people to discover the joys of ceramic sculpting using hand-building techniques.
“People can create what they want when they are here,” she said. “Sculpting is very therapeutic and quite relaxing. But it is expensive to buy a kiln - at least £1,500 - and then you need the space to put it in.” The workshops cost £5 an hour. Clay can be supplied at an extra charge or taken along.
