The event, held on Friday, March 3, at the Sallis Benney Theatre raises money for The Martlets Hospice, Hove.

Over the years, the popular event - hosted by Brighton Zumba - has raised more than £50,000 for the hospice.

Keeping the party going along with her team of qualified Zumba instructors is Sherryn Watkin of Brighton Zumba.

Inspired by her own experience of hospice care Sherryn got involved with Martlets Zumbathon.

She said: “My mum died from cancer in 2012, and she spent her last days being cared for by the hospice up in Watford, they were amazing. We were able to stay the night in her room, wrapped up in blankets, drinking tea. It was a terrible year, incredibly hard but the hospice made a huge difference to us at this time.

“I loved what they did for us and I know Martlets does the same thing here in Brighton. When I started organising Zumbathons, I decided it was important to support just one charity and make the event a huge success. Zumbathon night always flies by, it has such a phenomenal atmosphere, a real three-hour party!”
