Spring concerts at St Peter's Church

SAINT Peter's Church is organising a series of Spring concerts.

The church's large and excellent choir always visits a cathedral for a week in the summer. This year the choir will be going to Wells Cathedral where they will sing at Evensong every day and also at the Sunday Eucharist.

All the adults, young people and children also enjoy a good holiday with plenty of activities. The spring concerts are being organised to help to raise funds for the children's holiday expenses.

The Spring programme includes:

19th April - various musical performances given by the juniors of the choir. (in Church)

5th May - Music for a Mayday afternoon - given by The St. Peter's Singers (in the Community Centre with afternoon tea)

10th May - A recital of vocal music given by Verity Dutton (Soprano) and Milan Fernando (Counter-Tenor) including pieces by Mozart, Schubert and Bach (in Church)

24th May - Organ Recital given by Peter Dutton

7th June - Organ Recital given by Christopher Rathbone

28th June - Petertide Concert by St. Peter's Choir including music by Parry and Haydn

All concerts (with the exception of May 5) are free admission with a retiring collection starting at 7pm in church.

The May 5 concert will be 5 admittance (plus extra for tea and cakes) and starts at 5pm.
