The cost of parking for up to two hours will move from £2 to £2.20, and the cost for between 2 and 3 hours will change from £3 to £3.20.

All other charges will remain the same.

The price increase is the first implemented by the hospital to patient and visitor car park charges for seven years and is a similar cost to other local hospitals.

The hospital has recently obtained planning permission to increase the size of the visitor car park and new lighting, CCTV and pay stations have been installed.

Charges are in line with other comparable NHS hospitals and other parking charges in the south east of England.
