Residents across the district woke to a snowy setting this morning and have been sharing their pictures with us.

Northerly areas of West Sussex saw about 2-3cm fall in places as the Beast from the East rolled in overnight.

An amber (be prepared) alert is still in place for the north of West Sussex with the rest of the county under a yellow alert.

There have been a number of incidents on the roads this morning as temperatures stay around freezing causing delays for drivers.

Sussex Police have asked drivers to consider whether their journey is essential and to adapt their driving to the conditions.
