Skipping coach puts pupils through their paces

SKIPPING mania swept through St Bede's Prep School.

Lee James, one of the country's leading skipping coaches, put the four-to-eight-year-olds through their paces in a special workshop.

Jennie Etherington from the school said: 'The children had great fun learning a variety of moves individually, with a partner, and with the long rope.

'They learnt traditional playground skipping games and were encouraged to skip for their health.

'The morning finished with them displaying their skills in an energetic skipping demonstration.'

Some teachers from the school were also spotted joining in the fitness exercises.
