School boosts charity cash

Children at Rose Green Junior School have raised almost £2,000 through a number of charity events.

Pupils at the school presented a cheque of 1,750 to The Cherries, a Chichester respite charity for children with serious illnesses.

Members of the school raised the money by organising

competitions, stalls and activities such as penalty shootouts during the past school year.

The amount raised by the children was supplemented by parental contributions after the annual concert of performing arts and the Christmas performances.

The school council is now canvassing opinion about which charity the children would like to support during this school year.
