Runaway lorry wheel strikes car
A WOMAN had a lucky escape after the car she was in was struck by a wheel which had come off a lorry.
The wheel came off the vehicle on the A21 at Hurst Green at around 2.30pm on Monday (September 22).
The wheel struck the wing of a northbound 4x4 car at the junction with Station Road.
The occupant of the car, a woman in her 40s, was taken to the Conquest Hospital with back, neck and abdomen pain. Her injuries were not believed to be serious.
