Rother raises Olympic flag

IN time with the Olympic flag being handed over to London 2012 dignitaries in Beijing, members of Rother District Council met on the Colonnade for their own flag raising ceremony.

Local authorities across the UK were invited to hoist the official Olympic banner on Sunday to mark the country taking over as host nation.

Officials present at the ceremony included Rother District Council chairman Cllr Joanne Gadd and vice chairman Cllr Martin Mooney.
