Robertsbridge village voice

Tonight Friday 6th April you can hear Dr Fonda playing at Robertsbridge Club. This is a local band, and it is the first time they have played at the club. The gig starts at 8pm and costs just £2 for members and £3 for non-members and guests to get in. A good way to start the Easter weekend.

Tomorrow 7th April is the Saturday Market at Robertsbridge Hall between 10am – 12 noon. There are many stalls selling a variety of things, from fresh meat and vegetables, home made cakes and pies, to crafts and pet food, which includes wild bird feed. You can get all your supplies for the weekend in one place without going out of the village.

A quick reminder, the Afternoon Tea is coming up on Thursday 12th April at Robertsbridge Youth Club Hall. This is being run by the St Mary’s Fellowship Group and is raising funds for the Cardiomyopathy Association. Its on between 3pm – 5.30pm. Not only can you have tea and buy a great selection of cakes and cookies but there is also a photographic exhibition to browse.

Sarah and Matthew Wilkinson would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that supported the recent Table Sale that they organised raising funds for the babies’ charity BLISS. Everyone that helped on the day, stallholders, all the businesses that donated prizes and last but not least the people who came and spent their money. This all raised a fantastic total of £545.00, which means that Matthew has nearly reached his target of £2500.00 fundraising for the charity. Matthew is running the London Marathon on April 22nd and if you would like to sponsor him you can donate on line at www.justgiving.com/Matthew-Wilkinson3
