On Monday 1st October Sally Kendrick from One Stop in Robertsbridge is doing a tandem parachute/skydive to raise funds for the childrens fund ‘Sunny Days ‘. If you would like to sponsor Sally there is still time, so pop into One Stop and see her. She would like to thank all those that have supported her so far.

‘A Gig for Alan ‘ which is taking place at The Robertsbridge Club on SUNDAY 7th October starting at 4pm featuring Salehurst C of E Choir, RoCoCo Choir, Lumpy & the Lumpettes, The Cajun Dogs plus other guests. Tickets are available from The Floral Boutique, The Post Office & The Robertsbridge Club £5.00 per adult & £1.00 per child and ALL the proceeds to go to The Royal Marsden Hospital & the 1st Robertsbridge Scouts.

Programmes for Robertsbridge Bonfire night are now available in the village from The Floral Boutique, Post Office, The Robertsbridge Club, The Seven Stars, The George & The Salehurst Halt. The programme will give you all the information you need about our bonfire night & the do’s & don’ts for a safe night as well as an insight as to what goes on behind the scenes to make it all happen.

With only 7 weeks to go until Robertsbridge Bonfire the Society are looking for people that can marshall (18+) on the night or that are will to walk amongst the crowd collecting. If you would like to help with either of these please call in or ring Sandie at The Floral Boutique Ltd (01580) 880977 & leave your name, contact details & what you are prepared to do. Without enough MARSHALL’S the night’s event will not happen.

Robertsbridge Community Association (Robertsbridge Village Hall) is organising a winter outing on 27th October to the World Heritage Site of Greenwich. Cost of the coach is £15.00. There is lots you an visit once you get there. The Cutty Sark is open after it’s revamp caused by a fire, The Queens House, The National Maritime Museum, The Royal Observatory & Meridian line, Old Royal Naval College as well as some fabulous markets . Robertsbridge Aviation Museum Open, Sunday 30th September from 2pm - 5pm, at Bush Barn, Robertsbridge, TN32 5PA, Light refreshments, Parking/Entry Free, Donations welcome towards up keep of the Museum. Next Rag Bag collection will be October if you have any old clothes for disposal please bring them along many thanks. No pillows or duvets any thing else has a home just about .... Darts: The dart season is approaching and it is time to start practicing. Monday nights is ladies night while Thursday and Friday is mixed night so if you are interested in playing either or all nights pop down and join the players for a beer and a game of darts. There will be a meeting of all interested people who would like to play on a Friday evening tonight at 8p.m.
