Redstack ticket refund

A cancelled darts night at the Redstack Playhouse has left ticket-holders wondering if they will get their money back.

The event, which included a guest appearance by former World Champion Eric Bristow, was scheduled for February 17.

But it never went ahead and a number of customers have contacted the Observer to say they have not yet had refunds.

Mary Smallbone of Effingham Drive has been waiting for over two weeks and said: "On February 16 I came home and there was a message on my answerphone to say the show had been cancelled, and gave me a number to ring, so if I confirmed my address they would send a cheque to refund the tickets.

"But each time I rang I just got an answerphone, and no-one ever rings back."

The tickets were 5 each, and Mary bought two.

"I have left about five messages just to ask if someone could ring me back and tell me it's been dealt with...I know it is not a fortune, but it is still 10."

Redstack's volunteer manager Barry Wright said everyone who bought tickets was being refunded.

He commented: "We have rung everybody and said pop in and get your money back. Anyone who has bought tickets can knock on the door and get their money back - there is no issue there."
