Prison gives fuel for thought

A UNIQUE community-led recycling project has been launched at Ford Prison.

The scheme, which uses waste oil to produce bio-diesel, was unveiled on Friday by prison governor Fiona Radford and Lord Filkin, patron of Work This Way, a charity based at the jail.

The Waste Oil Recycling in Prisons Project is one of the 10 finalists in the UK-wide Big Green Challenge- an initiative to find new and better ways to tackle climate change.
