Pound-for-pound, Piglet the rabbit was good value

HOW does anyone decide the weight of a rabbit by the name of Piglet?

By picking Piglet up and giving him a cuddle of course.

Macmillan Cancer Support volunteers threw in their lot with Cuddle Bunnies, the charity which brings the comfort and companionship of pets to people in hospitals and nursing homes, for a joint Christmas Fair on Saturday morning.

And Piglet, a Netherlands Dwarf rabbit, had pride of place by the door.

While Macmillan had their own stall and provided the refreshments, Cuddle Bunnies volunteers ran a variety of stalls.

Young Christmas bargain-hunters could try the pick-a-present attraction.

From delicious cakes to a tombola and raffle, knitwear to cosmetics, there was plenty for everyone at an event which had been opened by Brett McLean, who invited shoppers to support the two worthwhile causes by spending lots of money.
