Police ask: Have you seen this woman?

POLICE are hunting a woman who could face jail after breaching her suspended sentence order.

Tina Evans, 33, formerly of Malvern Way, was charged earlier this year with assault, possession of a bladed weapon in a public place and three counts of shoplifting. Hastings magistrates gave her a suspended prison sentence on the condition she complied with a community order which involved attending a rehabilitation programme.

But Evans has breached the terms of those orders without an acceptable explanation and so magistrates issued a warrant for her arrest in September. Officers have been unable to find her since then and are appealing to members of the public to help trace her.

PC Duncan Cleverley said: “Anyone who sees Tina Evans is asked not to approach her themselves but to call Hastings Police on 0845 6070999 letting us know where she is. If Miss Evans sees herself in the press I would urge her to hand herself in at the earliest opportunity.”
