PLANNING APPLICATIONS: Two houses could be replaced by 12 new homes

Plans have been submitted to Arun District Council for two houses, Malvern and Kerria, in Station Road, to be demolished, and replaced by seven three-bedroom houses and five two-bedroom flats/maisonettes, together with landscaping and parking.

A similar scheme was put before planners in July last year, but was then withdrawn in October.

The latest full list of planning applications submitted to Arun in the Gazette area is:

ARUNDEL: listed building consent application for internal amendment to previous consent AB/24/05/L, plus additional rooflights and lantern to roof and guarding, 55-57 High Street.

EAST PRESTON: loft conversion, 19 The Roystons.

Demolish two existing houses and build seven three-bedroom houses and give two-bedroom flats/maisonettes, with associated landscaping and parking (re-submission, following EP/69/12), Malvern and Kerria, Station Road.

LITTLEHAMPTON: ramped access to the front door of the property, 10 Selwyn Avenue.

Various tree surgery to four macrocarpa trees within the Littlehampton seafront conservation area, Surrey Cottage, 1 Norfolk Place.

Six new display windows to front elevation, Carpetright, 2-4 Avon Road.

Replace and extend fence around the rear garden; erect a new shed and remove existing garage door and replace with half brick wall and PVCu window, to match existing, 18 Linnet Close.

Installation of a steplift to side elevation, to enable access to the property, 2 Penarth Gardens, Thornlea Park.

RUSTINGTON: conservatory to south elevation, 2 Highfield Gardens.

Three non-illuminated, wall-mounted fascia signs to the east and west elevations, and two non-illuminated “Welcome” wall signs to the north elevation, Unit A, Rustington Retail Park, New Road.

Prune one walnut tree by approximately 1-1.5m, 3 Elm Farm Cottages, Old Manor Road.

Roof extension above garage, and link to create two bedrooms and bathroom; conversion of garage to kitchen-utility; construction of new garage, and front ground floor extension, White Lodge, The Roundway.

Front and rear dormer extensions, and ground and first floor rear extensions, 2 Central Avenue.

Side and rear extension, 26 Milton Avenue.

WALBERTON: ground floor rear and side extension, with roof extension, Spinneys, West Walberton Lane.
