Police were called at 8am today following a report of a collision in North Street.

The road has been closed and the air ambulance has been sent to Homefield Park, a spokesperson for Sussex Police confirmed.

Police say there is very limited information available at present and the incident is still ongoing.

One person has been taken to hospital by road.

Police are advising the public to seek alternative routes.
