Wear A Hat Day in Shoreham for Brain Tumour Research
Adur East Lions will be holding a Wear A Hat Day in Shoreham to raise money for Brain Tumour Research and local good causes.
Look out for members with their collection buckets at the first Shoreham Artisans’ Market since lockdown restrictions eased.
This will be held in the Tarmount Lane car park on Saturday, April 24, from 10am to 2pm.
David Sluys, club member and childhood cancer project co-ordinator for the Lions’ south east district, said: “We will be dressing up in silly hats and we are encouraging others to wear silly hats as well.”
The Lions are continuing their fundraising with a Zoom quiz night on Friday, April 30, at 7pm. Teams of up to six people can take part and there is no entry fee but donations to Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex are requested.
For information on the quiz and to book, email Colin at [email protected] or telephone 01273 592213.
Looking ahead, David is organising a Texas Scramble at Worthing Golf Club on behalf of South East Lions Charity Golf Society. This will be held on Thursday, July 22, with tee-off times from midday to 2pm, and the golf will be followed by lunch with a charity auction.
Entry is £36 for Worthing Golf Club members, £66 for non-members. Telephone David on 07712224446 or email [email protected] for more information.
Donations for the auction and raffle would be welcome.
