How Shoreham care home celebrated VE Day

Residents and staff at Kingsland House in Shoreham made model planes and joined in a 1940s-inspired music afternoon in the gardens to celebrate VE Day.

There was a toast in memory of those involved in the Second World War and an opportunity to see the Spitfire flying over, on its way to Care for Veterans in Worthing.

Karen Williams, general manager, said: “This has been a huge amount of fun and sparked a lot of memories for residents to talk about.”
