In a statement issued last night (May 3) West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed crews from Bognor Regis fire station and Littlehampton fire station were dealing with the fire in a building on the B2132 Yapton Road.

Shortly before 11pm a spokesman confirmed the incident was being scaled back.

At the time he added: “Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two high pressure hose reels to bring the fire under control.

“They remain at the scene dampening down and ensuring there are no hotspots.”
