Crisis fund now available for Eastbourne community projects

Groups that provide vital services to residents in the Devonshire West area are encouraged to apply for the funding, which has been set up to help communities cope with the coronavirus pandemic.

Devonshire West Big Local is helping organisations apply for this funding grant of up to £3,000.

Activities which help the community include providing local food to residents, helping people stay in contact with each other and not become lonely, and offering delivery services to those who are unable to leave their home.

A spokesperson for Devonshire West Big Local said, “This is a rolling programme to help our local community deal with the current crisis and the board members are regularly meeting online to discuss funding bids so decisions can be made within two to three weeks.”
