Pair's art work wins special day

Two Bognor Regis children and their parents are looking forward to a chaffeur driven journey to a tourist attraction.

Morgan Stephens and Megan Buck had their animal art selected by a funeral director for the special day out.

The six-year-olds are pupils at The Glade Infant School which had a competition for drawings and paintings of zoo animals with funeral directors Dillistone and Wraights.

The prizes were handed out by Julie Stansfield, a funeral director at the company's branch in the Queensway, during a school assembly.

Julie said: 'I thought it would be nice to offer local children the chance to go to Marwell Zoo in a limousine and support the Marwell Zoological Society. The children submitted a total of 23 drawings and paintings, all of which were very well done and very colourful.

'Judging would have been difficult. So, I decided to draw the winning names out of a hat.'

The entries were displayed in the window of Dillistone and Wraights until yesterday.
